Loss is a part of everyone’s life – loss of a job, a home to foreclosure, relationship loss as in a divorce, or the ultimate loss–death of a loved one.  Grief is the normal natural reaction to a loss of any kind. Grief affects us physically, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually.
The good news is
it is possible to learn to live fully after a significant loss.

Dr. Ruff, through her bereavement education and personal experience aims to bring hope and encouragement to those who are reeling from a significant loss including the death of a loved one – especially if that loved one is a precious child.

  1. Describe the social, emotional, and physical manifestations of grief
  2. Differentiate between the myths and truths connected to grieving
  3. Describe strategies for self-care and caring for others while grieving
  4. Discuss strategies for coping during special times, including holiday
