How well you age is the ultimate test…unfortunately one which most people fail…as to whether or not you did the right things in your earlier life or not…whether your lifestyle was empowering or not. However, by making the right choices, beginning today, you can reverse a lot of damage and avert a health disaster in the future.

The human foot has 26 bones, 33 joints, and more than 100 tendons, muscles, and ligaments. With such a complex structure, a lot can go wrong. While some foot problems are inherited, many occur as a result of because of years of wear and tear.  Did you know that your foot’s structure, position, and function often impact your ankles, knees, hips and back?

In this presentation, Mark Nahmiahs, DPM will discusses common foot problems (including bunions, hammer toes, diabetic feet, biomechanical orthotics, trauma, and heel pain), and take us through diagnosis and treatment options, both conservative and surgical.

He also gives us a peek at what “a typical day in the life of a podiatrist” looks like.
