For a long time, Vitamin K, or the “Koagulation Vitamin” as it was first called by its Danish discoverer, was known for just that: coagulation, or blood clotting. However, as nutritional science research has progressed, we are finding out that it does much, much more than that. Vitamin K deficiency has been implicated in dementias, including Alzheimer’s Disease, Osteoporosis and Osteopenia, and cancer, among others. In this presentation, Dr Block will be taking us on a fascinating study of Vitamin K, and its newly discovered health benefits.
