Felicia Anumah is a professor of Medicine, Endocrinology and Diabetology at the College of Health Sciences, University of Abuja and an honorary consultant Endocrinologist at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital. She is a fellow of the National postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, Internal Medicine (FMCP) with subspecialisation in Endocrinology, a member of the West African College of Physicians (MWACP) and a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE).Her research interests include hyperglycaemic emergencies, diabetes foot disease and diabetes prevention.
Professor Anumah is a member of both National and International Professional Organizations, including Endocrinology and Metabolism Society of Nigeria (EMSON), Diabetes Association of Nigeria (DAN), International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE).She is the editor in chief of the African Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism (AJEM) and a member of the faculty board, National postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
Felicia Anumah is verypassionate about prevention of lifestyle diseases especially diabetes and hypertension, and wants Nigerians empowered so that they can live safer, healthier and longer lives. The chairperson of a non-governmental organization: Mark Anumah Medical Mission (MAMM) whose preventive arm works among youths in secondary schools and adults for prevention of lifestyle diseases.
